thanks for your interest in the potipot trip on may 16-17 under UPM's Talikasan program.
unlike the usual recreational getaway the Talikasan is also a venue to inform participants on outdoor appreciation and learn basic outdoor skills in camping, trekking, etc.
for the potipot trip, estimated total cost is set at a minimum of P1500 inclusive of travel from manila to zambales and vice versa, boat ride, minimal registration fee, rescue fund and souvenir t-shirt.
this fee does not cover meals, which will be assigned and prepared according to groups of 5-6 persons to which you wil be assigned and led by a UPM member.
this also does not cover equipment which means that participants will be asked to provide for their own tent, cookware, cookset and stoves, and fuel, usually butane canisters. should you not have access to these equipment, the UPM Talikasan team will assist you in finding such provisions.
you will also be asked to sign a waiver clearing UPM from any and all inconveniences, or any other untoward incidents that may occurr outside the purview of the organization during before and after the trip.
a "pre-climb" meeting will be set a few days before the activity to orient the particpants on what to do before, during and after the trip, and is also the venue where equipment and meal assignmets are arranged. the exact date for this is TBA.
a non-refundable downpayment of 50% of published reg fee is also collected before or during the pre-climb.
a "post-climb" meeting will also be held after the activity to assess the trip, gather insights from participants, and also serve as the venue for returning all borrowed equipment used during the trip.
